About me

I like everyday history that connects to my life.

Over the past 20 years I’ve worked in various museums plus a few archives.  I started writing this blog when I began teaching food history courses for the WEA .

A few years ago I completed a mid-career PhD on museum management.  I am now working at the British Library  on the Save Our Sounds project.  It is a great job but it means that I haven’t got much time to write about food history!

  1. Did you know there is a programme on Dorothy Hartley tomorrow night Tuesday Nov 6 BBC 4 at 9pm?

  2. I love this blog! It’s so informative and reach. And I love the Wellcome Library, so it’s really nice to find out that you’ve worked there.
